About
My last name “Hsu” is pronounced like “shoe.” So now you see that the name of the blog rhymes, but because I had to explain it, it loses it’s clever edge. At least you can pronounce it now.
For the last 20+ years, I’ve been working with Campus Crusade for Christ. Lately, my journey has included an exploration of church planting, organic/simple/house churches, pomo/emerging ministry, movement building and city reaching. In 2007, we joined the staff of Church Resource Ministries to help develop missional leadership for the church.
I believe that the rapid urbanization of the world means cities create the greatest missiological challenge for the coming generation. I’m focused on building missional kingdom movements to transform cities in general, and San Diego in particular.
I’m also currently working on my DMin from Bakke Graduate University in Seattle. The focus is Transformational Leadership for the Global City. I’m reading great stuff and it is prompting lots of great ideas and questions. I hope this site will be a useful place to share some of those ideas.
